§ 24-34. Additional rules and regulations for the beach pavilion and golf, tennis and recreation center.

In addition to the general rules and regulations set out above, the following specific rules and regulations as may hereinafter be amended from time to time by resolution of the city commission shall apply to the city beach pavilion and the golf, tennis and recreation center:

(1)

The hours of operation of the beach pavilion and golf tennis and recreation center are as follows:

a.

Beach pavilion: 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

b.

Golf, tennis and recreation center: 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The facilities shall be closed to public use other than during the hours of operation.

(2)

All persons and/or organizations wishing to reserve the facility for an event shall file an application for park use with the recreation department. The rental fee shall be paid in full at the time the application is submitted. All events shall be scheduled to occur during the regular hours of operation of the facility. The recreation department shall grant approval for the use of a facility for all events.

(3)

Security deposits shall be returned to the applicant within 15 days of the event provided that all of the rules and regulations were followed and the facility was left in an acceptable manner.

(4)

No pets or animals with the exception of seeing eye dogs shall be permitted on the property.

(5)

Children shall be supervised at all times.

(6)

No smoking shall be allowed inside the golf tennis and recreation center clubhouse or at the beach pavilion.

(7)

The applicant shall be responsible for the setting up, and clearing of area(s) after the event and for returning all of the equipment to its proper places.

(8)

The applicant shall be responsible for supplying all materials for his/her event.

(9)

The applicant shall agree to pay for any damages, repairs or cleaning expenses incurred as a result of the event.

(10)

Since the beach pavilion and golf, tennis and recreation center are public facilities, the general public will be allowed to use the facilities during scheduled events.

(11)

Decorations shall not be hung or taped to walls and/or ceilings in the golf, tennis and recreation center nor will they be allowed around the beach pavilion.

(12)

The use of gas grills shall be permitted. However the grills must be removed from city property immediately following the conclusion of the event.
